Designed for use with the Graphite HMI platform, the <strong>PROFIBUS\u00ae<\/strong> (GMPBDP) and <strong>DeviceNet\u2122<\/strong> (GMDN) plug-in modules provide the connectivity customers need to add powerful monitoring and control functionality<br \/>to their existing operations.<\/p>\n<p>Red Lion\u2019s new plug-and-play modules support the rising demand for device interoperability,allowing customers to leverage Red Lion\u2019s rugged Graphite HMIs\u2013 with built-in protocol converter and 300+ communications drivers \u2013 <br \/>to support virtually any automation equipment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>GMPBDP<\/strong> module adds <strong>PROFIBUS DP slave support<\/strong> while the GMDN module allows the <strong>HMI<\/strong> to perform as a <strong>DeviceNet Group 2 server<\/strong>.<br \/>\u201cWith the addition of new communication modules, our powerful HMI products continue to provide even more ways for our customers to easily connect, monitor and control processes across a broad range of industries,\u201d explained Jeff Thornton, director of product management at Red Lion Controls. \u201cThe PROFIBUS and DeviceNet modules give customers more choices as they seek integrated communication solutions to address varying requirements in industrial and remote environments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Recently named a \u201c2014 First Team Supplier\u201d in HMI hardware by the readers of Automation World,<br \/>Red Lion\u2019s Graphite HMIs offer a built-in web server that enables users to monitor and control applications via PCs, tablets or smartphones.
