The NK10 Fill Level limiter, Float System by Fischer is a fill-level limiter contained within a fluid-filled reservoir (expansion tank). Float movements, caused by changes in fill levels, are directly transmitted to the S1 micro switch through a float rod sealed in a stainless-steel bellows. The fulcrum of the float rod is located outside the pressure chamber.
An external test button allows for functional checks as per DIN 4754-3 without lowering the fill level. When pressed, the float moves against its buoyancy. The factory-set switching point of the S1 micro switch activates when the float rod is in a horizontal position. The optional S2 warning switch activates approximately 2.5 mm before the S1 switch.
The fill level height triggering the switch depends on the density of the heat carrier. The minimum density for safe operation is 0.6 kg/dm³.
For a medium density of 1.0 kg/dm³, the switching level is approximately 60 mm below the center of the flange or connector.
